Privacy policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Peeep collects, the purposes for which it is used, with whom it is shared, how long it is retained, and the rights you have in relation to it. It applies to the Peeep application and to our website (together, the "Service").
1. About us
Peeep ("Peeep", "we", "us" or "our") is a new service, currently in an early testing phase. For any question about your personal information, please contact us at peeepinfo@gmail.com.
2. Summary
- We collect only the information needed to provide your Peeep board: your email address, the name you provide, and the links and to-dos you add.
- We do not receive or store your payment card details. All payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe.
- We measure visits to our website using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. We do not use advertising tools, and we do not sell your information.
- You may delete your personal account at any time from your profile page, and it will be deleted immediately.
- Where your account belongs to a business, that business determines what information is held about you on its staff list. Please see section 5 (Business accounts).
3. Information we collect
3.1 When you create an account
- Your email address and password. Your password is stored in a securely hashed form and cannot be read by anyone at Peeep.
- The date and time at which you registered and confirmed your email address.
3.2 When you use the Service
- Your name, if you add it to your profile.
- The links you save (their web address and the name you give them) and the order in which you arrange them.
- Your to-dos, whether and when they are marked as complete, which together form your to-do history.
- Your display preferences, such as your colour theme and the shape of your links.
- Any suggestions you submit through "Make a suggestion".
3.3 When you subscribe to a paid plan
- Your current plan, whether it is active, and the date on which it renews or ends.
- A reference number linking your Peeep account to your customer record with Stripe.
Stripe collects your card details, billing address and payment history directly. We do not receive or store your card number.
3.4 Technical information
Our hosting provider keeps records of sign-ins and requests made to the Service, which may include your IP address and browser type. These records are used to keep the Service secure and functioning correctly.
4. Our newsletter
If you sign up on our website to be notified when Peeep launches, we retain your email address and the date on which you signed up, and we send you a welcome email followed by news about Peeep. Our mailing list is held, and our emails are sent, by Resend.
We send these emails only because you have asked to receive them. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
Once you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you emails. Your email address will be retained on our suppression ("do not send") list so that we do not contact you again in error; we retain no other information about you. If you would like your email address removed entirely, please contact us at peeepinfo@gmail.com. If you have not resubscribed within two years, your email address will be deleted entirely.
To prevent automated programs from submitting other people's email addresses, our signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automated activity.
5. Business accounts
A business using the Peeep Business plan maintains a list of the people who work for it. If you are included on that list, the business's Peeep administrator may add and amend:
- your first name, surname, job title and work email address;
- the teams to which you belong, and whether you are a team administrator;
- your contact details, if the administrator chooses to add them; and
- an avatar, selected from Peeep's own set of images.
Links added by an administrator to the business's pages record the name and email address of the person who added them, so that they can be traced if necessary.
The business determines what information is held about its staff. In respect of its staff list, the business is responsible for that information (in data protection terms, it is the "controller"), and Peeep stores and displays the information on the business's behalf. If you have a question about the information your employer holds about you, please contact your employer in the first instance. You may also contact us, and we will assist you or pass your request on.
Your own links, to-dos and profile belong to your personal account, not to the business, and cannot be seen by your employer.
6. How we use your information
UK data protection law requires us to have a valid reason, known as a lawful basis, for each way in which we use your information.
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| To create and operate your account, save your links and to-dos, and display your board | Performance of a contract (providing the service you have requested) |
| To take payments and manage your plan | Performance of a contract |
| To send essential service emails, such as email address confirmation, password resets and business invitations | Performance of a contract |
| To send the Peeep newsletter you signed up for | Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing |
| To keep records of payments | Compliance with a legal obligation (tax and accounting law) |
| To keep the Service secure, prevent misuse and resolve problems | Our legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable service |
| To notify the Peeep team of new sign-ups and pass on suggestions, through our private Discord channels | Our legitimate interests in operating and improving Peeep |
| To measure visits to our website so that we can improve it | Our legitimate interests in improving Peeep |
We do not use your information for marketing purposes without your consent, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Who we share your information with
We use a small number of service providers to operate Peeep. Each provider processes your information solely to provide its service to us.
| Provider | Service provided | Information received |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting of our database, accounts and sign-in | All information stored by Peeep. Our database is located in Ireland. |
| Stripe | Payment processing and subscription management | Your email address, plan and payment details |
| Resend | Email delivery | Your email address and the content of the email |
| Discord | Internal notifications to the Peeep team | For new sign-ups, the user's email address. For suggestions, the text of the suggestion and the sender's email address and plan. |
| Cloudflare | Secure delivery of our website, and measurement of visits to it (Web Analytics, which does not use cookies) | Technical information, such as IP addresses |
We may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
8. International transfers
Some of our providers, including Stripe, Resend, Discord and Cloudflare, are based in or use systems located in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards provided under UK law, such as an adequacy decision in respect of the receiving country or approved contractual terms with the provider.
9. Information stored in your browser
Peeep stores a small amount of information in your browser so that the Service functions correctly: to keep you signed in, and to remember your preferences, such as your colour theme, whether your to-do list is displayed, the shape of your links, and any notices you have dismissed. This information is necessary for the features you use. We do not use cookies or browser storage for advertising or tracking purposes.
Our website also uses security cookies and similar technologies set by Cloudflare, including Cloudflare Turnstile on our signup form, to protect the website from automated abuse. These are strictly necessary and are not used for advertising or tracking.
10. How long we keep your information
- Your account and its contents: retained until you delete your account or until we close it.
- On deletion of your personal account: your account is deleted immediately, together with your links, to-dos, profile and suggestions. Copies held in our backups are overwritten within seven days.
- Members of a business: you may not delete your own account while the business has an active Peeep Business plan. Your account is retained for as long as the business remains on Peeep, or until the business's administrator removes you, after which it becomes an ordinary personal account that you may delete. If you delete your account after leaving a business, your name, email address and job title may remain on the business's staff list as part of its own records.
- On deletion of a business: its pages are hidden immediately, and 30 days later the business, its teams, staff list and shared links are permanently deleted. Each member retains their own personal account.
- Payment records: retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law, normally six years.
- Messages in our Discord channels: retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted.
11. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us to:
- provide you with a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct any information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information;
- restrict or object to our use of your information; and
- provide your information in a format that you can transfer to another provider.
You may delete your personal account at any time from your profile page. To exercise any other right, please contact us at peeepinfo@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are dissatisfied with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.
12. Age requirement and younger users
## 12. Peeep is for people aged 13 and over. If you are aged 13 to 17, you may use Peeep with the permission of a parent or guardian. We collect the same small amount of information from younger users as from anyone else, as set out in section 3, and we use it only for the purposes in section 6. We never use it for advertising. If you are under 18, you can delete your account at any time from your profile page, and a parent or guardian may ask us to delete it by contacting us at peeepinfo@gmail.com. Peeep is not for children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 is using Peeep, please contact us at peeepinfo@gmail.com.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date shown at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects you, we will notify you by email or within the app before it takes effect.
